This project aims to design a functional and up-to-date design for this 2 bedroom condo in Bucharest, Romania. With an open kitchen, the social space evolves around the kitchen island; while the living area is warmed by the presence of an electrical fireplace. All furniture and material selections are chosen to be child friendly and occasionally, child proof.

The apartment is designed for a young family with 2 kids, a toddler and a newborn. Kitchen island will host all family meals, while the space planning itself is designed to better function and accommodate this growing family storage needs. The open kitchen challenge is to always keep things neat and tidy, in a proper design style, one that will resemble less a traditional kitchen, and more a showroom one, with built-in appliances – for fridge and dishwasher. Both parents expressed the need of a home office and we've managed to incorporate 2 different areas that will serve for this purpose.

A warm and light feeling describes the atmosphere created here, soft tones of white, beiges and greys are beautifully accompanied by warm textures of wood in natural oak tones.
